Dear Parents,

In CTO, we take the utmost care to treat each child as a special child of God. This philosophy is built into everything we do.

First of all, we are not a “program” that will treat your child like a number. We seek instead to provide a personal, fun, and rewarding experiences, custom tailored for each youth participant. CTO is designed to grow with them, keeping them challenged, engaged, and growing from adolescence through to adulthood.

Whoever they are and wherever they come from, we’ll meet them at their level, and then seek to help them grow along CTO’s Three Levels of Growth — Skills, Leadership and Relationship with Jesus Christ.

We will never beat your child over the head with a Bible or “preach” to them; instead we will seek to show them, through personal examples and meaningful lessons, the vast blessings and benefits of living a life that is pleasing to God. Rest assured that we will never foster any denominational divisions.

We will hold your child to the highest reasonable expectations for behavior and performance. Our goal is to bring out the God-given best in your child!

We have a zero tolerance policy for safety violations. If any child breaks a safety rule, he will be sent home from that particular camp or outing.

Regarding our staff and volunteers, we seek to employ the best practices in the youth mentorship and youth ministry fields for volunteer and staff recruitment, selection, screening, interviews, background checks, and continual training and performance reviews. With 100% safety and integrity as our ironclad standards, we take the utmost care in selecting the men and women who will work with your child, we train them thoroughly, we scrutinize their backgrounds, and we stay on top of them diligently.

You will always be kept in the loop regarding where we are going, what we’ll be doing, and how to get in touch.

Of course, you have to play an active role in all of this. We have an “open door” policy, and you are encouraged to stay in touch!
