The situation in Haiti right now is quite dynamic, so it is hard to nail down a precise agenda. Our team will be equipped for flexibility and not locked into a rigid agenda, to be able to go wherever is needed to make the most impact. Trip leader Jesse Easley is traveling to Haiti again in March to get a better handle on the situation. Jesse has been there 14 times already on missions trips, and is close friends with Pastor David Bustin, a missionary who has lived and served there for 45 years. Together they will map out a plan for the team, and ensure that all in-country details are worked out. As of now, Pastor Bustin has believes that most of the need for a while will likely consist of reconstructing destroyed homes (basically thatch with mud and a little cement plastered over it on both sides). Other possible activities for our team include:
- Distributing food and feeding kids at the Bustin’s malnourished children’s center.
- If we have a doctor on our team, setting up and doing a medical clinic in one or two locations.
- Hiking into mountain villages to pray for the sick & injured and share the Gospel.
We will be updating this site with more details as they become available. |

ABOUT HAITI The US State Department’s website offers lots of vital statistics about Haiti. Check out their Haiti file by clicking here. Haiti has a uniquely dark and oppressive spiritual history. Knowing this is vital to properly praying and preparing for a mission trip to that nation. Find a good historical essay by clicking here.

Our Mission Work Our goal is to make the most profound, positive impact possible on the people we serve during this trip, whatever it takes. Then, through the relationships we build and the questions that are asked in the process, we will share with them the Good News of Jesus Christ. This goal leaves little room for consideration of our own personal comfort. If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation this is not the trip for you! We will be traveling light and be living in primitive 3rd World conditions, with very little connection to the “civilized” world. Voodoo witch doctors still holds sway over many of the people in the region. This is the real deal. We will be carrying the light of Jesus Christ to a dark corner of the world. Experienced translators and local guides will work alongside our team. Each young man will be expected to work very hard, and to share the Gospel with the people we encounter. The creature comforts of this trip may be lacking, but the blessings and impact will be eternal. |
