7 WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

God’s great outdoors offers virtually unlimited opportunities to serve the Lord. Because it’s so vast, it can be confusing for those who have a heart to do this. CTO has worked hard to define seven areas of impact, to help those who want to serve get involved in a way that engages their gifts and passions.

 

Watching the youth participants make breakthroughs in their outdoors skills, leadership ability and relationship with Jesus is an incredible experience. Helping in a ministry that leads young men to Christ, and on to Christian manhood, delivers rewards that last an eternity. There are seven primary ways for adult supporters to get involved with the CTO ministry. They are:

 

Help with outings - Serve hands-on at our hunting or fishing trips through our CTO Ranger program. Volunteers who earn the rank of Ranger Captain organize all our hunting and fishing trips, skills training sessions and fun shoots. To maintain our high standards, we have a rigorous process for selection, screening, training and advancement of Rangers.  <more>

 

Help with education - Teach kids the skills and knowledge needed to become better sportsmen. If you want to teach kids in your area of expertise — from fly fishing to first aid — but don’t want to help organize and run outings and other CTO events, then this is the best way for you to plug in. A great way for certified instructors (NRA, Hunters Ed, etc.) to get involved.

 

Help with the organization - Get involved in the day-to-day operations of the local CTO club. There’s always work to do behind the scenes, from data entry and filing to professional services. And if there's not a CTO club in your area, we can help you start one!

 

Help with the spiritual growth of the youth - Help the kids grow closer to Jesus Christ by sharing your testimony or leading a Bible study.

 

Offer the use of your hunting or fishing land, boat, specialized gear or other resources - It takes a lot of land, boats, lake houses, etc., for us to provide all the opportunities for our youth participants. Can you help by providing some of the things necessary for the CTO ministry? For Landowners, CTO provides you with liability insurance coverage for outings, on par with the best state programs. <more for Landowners>

 

Help promote CTO - Spread the word about CTO by introducing us to your church, school or community group.

 

Become a Root Partner in the ministry - Help reach a generation for Christ by supporting the CTO ministry financially. Commit to praying for the leaders, staff and volunteers of CTO, and their important work with young people. <more>
